Calling in sick to work laws california9/16/2023 ![]() ![]() If Seller fails to file such Tax Returns prior to the date on which such Tax Returns are due, Buyer shall be required to file such Tax Returns on behalf of the Company Group. Seller shall permit Buyer to review and comment on such Tax Returns prior to filing. Tax Periods Ending on or Before the Closing Date Seller shall prepare or cause to be prepared and file or cause to be filed all Tax Returns for all members of the Company Group other than the Company for all periods ending on or prior to the Closing Date that are due after the Closing Date. Holiday Falling on a Scheduled Workday An Employee who works on a designated holiday which is a scheduled workday shall be compensated at the rate of double time for hours worked, plus a day off in lieu of the holiday except for Christmas and New Year's when the compensation shall be at the rate of double time and one-half (2½) for hours worked, plus a day off subject to this Agreement. Boxing Day shall be observed on the first normal working day immediately following the calendar day on which Christmas Day is granted as a designated holiday.Ĭhristmas or New Year's Day Off The Employer agrees to make every reasonable effort to ensure that employees required to work shift shall have at least Christmas Day or the following New Year's Day off. ![]() Holiday Falling on a Day of Rest 32.3.1 When a day, except Boxing Day, designated as a holiday under clause 32.1 coincides with an employee's day of rest, the holiday shall be moved to the employee's first normal working day following his day of rest. At the request of the employee, and with approval of the appointing authority, straight time payment can be made in lieu of accrual provided such compensation is approved during the pay period in which it is worked. Working on a Holiday Whenever an employee is required to work on a fixed holiday or the fixed holiday falls on an employee’s regularly scheduled day off, the employee shall accrue, on an hour-for-hour basis, up to a total of eight (8) hours floating holiday time. Other provisions if any, relating to the scheduling of lieu days or relating to the payment of holiday pay instead of receiving a lieu day off are located in the Local Provisions Appendix. In addition, if the employee qualifies in accordance with Article 16.02 above the employee will receive a lieu day off with pay in the amount of the employee's regular straight time hourly rate of pay times the employee's normal daily hours of work. Payment for Working on a Holiday (The following clause is applicable to full-time employees only) If an employee is required to work on any of the holidays set out in the local Appendix the employee shall be paid at the rate of time and one-half (1-1/2) her regular straight time hourly rate of pay for all hours worked on such holiday subject to Article 16.04.
